Broker Advantage
Inc. has a policy designed to protect you, your family and/or
business in the event of a critical
illness and assist with your physical
and financial recovery. It ensures you
maintain a quality of life and
promotes independent living. There are
no restrictions on how you can use the
cash payment; you can apply it to:
replace
reduced earnings,
pay off
your mortgage and other personal
debts,
provide
cash for specialized medical
treatment, private nursing or child
care,
fund
required renovations to your home,
fund a
holiday for your recuperation,
facilitate a change in your
occupation or lifestyle,
provide
investment income for your future.
Payment of
the benefit is not based on your
inability to work or the severity of
your condition. Payment is made in
full, even if you fully recover.
Critical
Illness insurance is a living benefit
that pays you a lump-sum benefit as
the policy owner (not your dependents)
based on your survival of a critical
illness. Upon approval of a claim,
payment is made 30 days after the
first diagnosis of, or surgery for,
any one of a range of covered critical
illnesses, including heart attack,
stroke, life-threatening cancer, and
kidney failure.
Critical
Illness insurance is not a replacement
for other types of insurance coverage.
It is an affordable financial planning
vehicle that allows you to adjust to
changes in your lifestyle that result
from a critical illness. Critical
Illness insurance can be structured to
bridge the financial gap between the
needs met by traditional life coverage
and disability insurance coverage. It
serves to complement, not replace
other insurance coverage.
